Does This Sound Familiar?

Feeling like you’re on a rollercoaster with food?

"You don't need more discipline. You need the right tools and right support. That's what I'm here for."

  • "You eat perfectly all day, then it all falls apart by evening."

The restrict–reward loop is a nervous system pattern, not a character flaw. And it can be changed.

  • "You can't stop thinking about food. What you ate, what you shouldn't."

Mental food fatigue is real and exhausting. It robs you of the bandwidth needed for everything else in your life.

  • "You know it's not really about food. But you don't know how to stop."

You're right — it's not about the food. That's why diets have never worked for you. The answer is deeper, (and often nervous system-based).

  • "You don't recognise the person in the mirror anymore."

Midlife hormonal shifts affect hunger signals and your relationship with yourself. But perimenopause is workable – and a threshold.

About This Work

This isn't a willpower problem. But it could be a hormonal, emotional + nervous system one.

You're smart, self-aware. You've read the books, done the courses, tried intermittent fasting and still find yourself staring into the fridge at 10pm – not even hungry.

This isn't your fault. It’s your body seeking safety, comfort and pleasure the easiest way it knows how – food.

Hi. I’m Jenn. I’m a Barcelona-based coach specialising in eating psychology. I support women in their teens all the way up to midlife. A common theme I see with clients is a lack of self-trust around food, often playing out in all-or-nothing eating, excessive control and exercise, bingeing, purging, or orthorexia disguised as “self-care”.

My approach is as nuanced as my clients, but smart nutrition, eating psychology, somatic tools, and compassionate support are my foundation to help women cultivate a calm, confident relationship to food, their body – and themselves.

"This work is not about another diet. It’s about learning how to be in relationship to your body and hormones, then building a framework for nourishment that feels supportive and flexible for the stage of life you’re in."

Real Voices · Real Shifts

This work is gentle, and powerful.

"I’ve always had a problematic relationship with food and body. I came to Jen thin, stressed and obsessed with exercise. She opened my eyes to the core issues behind my controlling habits, and led me through deep practices that rebuilt my self-trust. Now I relate to pleasure and my body so differently.”

Rachel
41, London

"Jen asked me something really powerful in our first session that stayed with me: “do you want to feel lighter?" This shifted a big block for me mentally about weight loss and self-love, and gave me the space to consider a new possibility for myself. I did indeed become lighter”.

Jen Charner
37, London

“I began working with Jen during a challenging chapter, when chronic illness was really impacting my relationship with my body and food. She helped me disentangle myself from diet culture and regain the self-trust to honour my body’s real needs.

I cannot thank her enough.”

Amity
40, Brighton

"The biggest game changer was finally learning how to communicate with my body – not as my enemy, but as part of me, with needs and desires, With Jen I learned to dialogue deeply with my body, which gave me way more ownership and sense of power. "

Isa
41, London

"To anyone embarking on this journey with Jen, get ready for one of the most transformative experiences of your life when it comes to your relationship with your body.

This coaching involves opening the Pandora’s box that many women (me included) spend years avoiding. What’s on the other side, though, is so worth it.”

Isadora
37, London

”I came to Jen as a serial dieter, and occasional binger. Working with her, I learned new mindfulness tools to handle true hunger vs. emotional cravings. Working with Jen changed my life, and I still use her practical tools daily. For anyone who’s thinking of working with her – 100% do it.”

Meet Jen

I found a way out of disordered eating and hormonal struggles. Now I’m helping others find theirs.

I'm Jen Carr — Certified Behavioural Eating Psychology coach, and founder of Mind + Plate. My journey from food obsession and hormonal chaos to calm, sane, smart nourishment is the foundation of everything I coach.

I work with women in their 30s, 40s and 50s. Powerful women. Accomplished women. The kind of women who ask their friends and AI, “why don’t I feel like myself anymore?” The ones navigating major hormonal and life shifts, running out of patience with their fluctuating weight and broken sleep, the ones obsessing about food and skin and energy levels. Perhaps in perimenopause, or maybe younger.

But the motivation is similar: they want to feel like themselves again.

My clients often reach a point where they realise that obsession about food and restricting or binging takes an enormous toll on hormones, weight, sex drive and of course, our mental health.

If you got this far, this is your invitation to heal at the root. To learn the tools, practices, foods, and protocols I use with clients to help them feel great in their own skin. I want to help you get here too.
